Washington's Plastic Bag Bill
Summary: Prohibits distribution of single-use plastic bags. Allows for the use, sale, and distribution of compostable plastic bags, recyclable paper bags, and reusable bags. Defines a reusable bag as one designed for multiple use and at least 2.25 mils thick, or one made of machine washable materials.
Status: This bill is no longer active but is available for discussion in 2012.
