Massachusetts Bottle Bill Law
Massachusetts' Beverage Container Recovery Law was enacted in 1981 and covers beer, soda and mineral water in metal, plastic or glass (excluding biodegradable) containers. Currently, Massachusetts' recycling rate is at 71%. Governor Patrick and the Massachusetts Legislature have recently proposed expanding the law to include more containers. Read more.
