Maine Bottle Bill Law
Maine's Returnable Beverage Container Law was enacted in 1976 and covers all beverages (exempting dairy and cider) in metal, glass or plastic under 4 liters.
The deposit amount is $0.05 ($0.15 for wine and liquor). The handling fee is $0.035 - $0.05.
